Dandelion, the king of the garden!
February 15th, 2019
So, here we are, the day after Valentine's Day. Who is ready for Spring? We sure are! Lots of amazing things are sprouting up with Laughing Lily Herbal Apothecary. For starters, Dandelions! Folks, the Italian Heirloom Dandelions are quite the sight. Let's just say this, the bees are happy! We have brand new tea blends hitting the shelves and guess what our star player is? You guessed it, Dandelions! This is the time of year when they really shine. Coming out of fall, where we harvest those big, fat roots, it's refreshing to see lush green and bright yellow popping up all over. Spring may not be here just yet, but it sure is poking it's sassy legs out giving us a peak! Stay tuned for more from Laughing Lily Herbal Apothecary!!

Calendula on the rise
March 4th, 2019
Calendula, the nutritious garden goddess is on the rise! Are you familiar with the amazing things that Calendula's packed with? It has linoleic and calendic, fantastic sources of fatty acids. Containing both beta-carotene and lutein that your body converts into Vitamin A, it makes a great eye strengthening tea. Could this flower be the secret to superman's x-ray vision? We don't know, but it sure is worth opening our eyes and taking a look at it.
We use Calendula in our teas, liniments, and steam treatments. Keep an eye out for these wonderful seasonal goodies coming soon!

Well folks, here it comes! The very first installment in our Edible Flowers Workshop series, is right around the corner! We are so excited about this new monthly event. In our first class, we are going to talk about all things Pansy and Viola. Getting your hands down into the dirt is a must in this class! Gardening involves working with all of our senses, and that is exactly what we will be doing. So, if getting dirty just isn't your thing, then this isn't the class for you!
This is just the beginning. So many wonderful things to come and so many amazing flowers to learn about going forward in this series. Things have grown so much with Laughing Lily. We look forward to continuing this growth with all of our clients and community!
Edible flowers hit!
April 1st, 2019
Yesterday was the big day, and what a day it was! It was an amazing class! A wonderful group of people came together to eat, laugh, learn and get dirty, and boy was it fun! The food was beautiful and tasty. Frances Moeller brought out her breathtaking artwork for a private viewing exclusive to the Edible Flowers workshop. Folks took home some amazing art.....and Laughing Lily just had to swipe up a piece too!
In true Texas fashion, the weather decided to be as unpredictable as a rabid monkey. But we got out there, stuck our hands in the dirt and turned up those serotonin levels! I think we all were saying thank you to the Mycobacterium vaccae. On tummies full of flowers we created beautiful flower pots that will bring us eye candy and nutrition! Thank you so much for all those who came out to join us.
It was awesome to see some other local small business owners there too, eager and ready learn! Tabatha Sipho of Burgundy Wishes and Gemstone Kisses, Mariam Diallo-Bah of Pure Aloha Bath & Beauty, and Robin Hudspath Sabala of Gypsy's Lotions & Potions, thank you so much for your support! I'm really looking forward to seeing what these amazing women do with their new pansy knowledge!
Feelin' the burn!
July 18th, 2019
Summer is in full swing here in the Laughing Lily Garden and I am loving every bit of it! After taking some time off, I am hitting the road with the Apothecary and stopping at some brand new outdoor markets. Last weekend Laughing Lily spent the two days at The Backyard Market at Ruben's. This up and coming San Antonio Farmers Market is still new, going into it's third weekend. I am definitely looking forward to watching this lovely market grow! Beat the heat and stop by this weekend for a free Laughing Lily Herbal Apothecary iced tea sample!
